This unusual touching behavior makes me question whether Joe Biden has some benevolent sexist tendencies. This behavior is sexist, and I believe it falls under a special category of sexism that psychologists refer to as benevolent sexism. It gets complicated, and becomes benevolent sexism, only when people segregate by gender who they're holding doors for and who they are not. As a rule of thumb, rubbing noses with someone you are not romantically involved with or related to should just be avoided altogether. However, as a pattern emerges we may legitimately start to question whether Joe Biden adheres to some benevolent sexist beliefs.
