Manchester United ex-coach Jose Mourinho has accepted a one-year jail sentence he won’t have to serve and a fine of close to €2 million for tax fraud as part of a deal with prosecutors revealed Tuesday. According to Spanish prosecutors, the Portuguese football coach had failed to declare revenues from image rights in Spanish tax declarations. The claim against Mourinho was filed last year on two counts of tax fraud. Spanish tax authorities claimed that Mourinho had owed £3m. However, according to the prosecutors, tax authorities found that some information presented in the settlement was incorrect.
