Xhaka is keen on working with Mourinho and is ready to end his five-year stay at the Emirates, having been persuaded by Mikel Arteta to stay at the club in 2019. And Mourinho has indicated that the Swiss’ move to Italy could be on the brink by taking the surprising decision of commenting on the midfielder’s latest Instagram post. Taking to Instagram to dedicate a post to Switzerland boss Vladimir Petkovic – who is joining Bordeaux after seven years in charge of the national side, Xhaka said: ‘What a journey! We won’t forget your work and we wish you all the best in Bordeaux.’And Mourinho did little to conceal his interest in Xhaka by commenting on the midfielder’s post.
