KCC celebrates 5th yearThe winners of the 2015 Pinoy K-pop Star (Photos courtesy of KCC)The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines’ (KCC) is celebrating its fifth anniversary this month and to mark the occasion, the center will hold the Happy Hallyu Day and the Pinoy K-pop Star contest on July 23 at The Skydome in SM CIty North EDSA. The KCC was established in the Philippines to complement the growing interest of Filipinos in the Korean Wave or Hallyu on July 19, 2011. “I Love OPM” grand prize Winner Hwang Yohan and My Foreignay Dance Diva and KCC K-pop dance instructor Dasuri Choi will have special performances during the event and will be part of the board of judges. KCC Director Oh Choong-Suk said, “I am happy to know that a lot of Filipinos are fascinated in Korean Culture and K-pop. The event starts at 10 a.m.Pinoy K-Pop StarAmong hundreds who applied at the online auditions of Pinoy K-Pop Star, only 20 hopefuls were chosen to compete in this year’s grand finals.
