KUALA LUMPUR: At least six locations across the city were affected by fallen trees following heavy rain and thunderstorms on Monday (March 30). The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said it received multiple emergency calls between 3pm and 5.30pm. “Fire and Rescue teams were deployed to the locations to carry out clearing works, cut fallen trees and ensure public safety,” it said in a statement. Several vehicles were damaged after being struck by the fallen trees, but no injuries were reported. The department said the situation has been brought under control, with cleanup operations carried out promptly at all affected locations.
