Doubts about Trump, whether they spring from elitists or otherwise, don’t derive from an inability to understand the problem. It’s this: Trump may have identified the problem, but he’s given no evidence whatsoever that he’s the man to solve it. And they’ll persist until he provides a credible reason to believe otherwise, other than, “Trust me, it’s gonna happen.”National Post Maybe they’re right, though you’d have to be a particularly dim bulb not to get the message by now. Judging by my email, Donald Trump’s remaining fans — of which there are many — are fuelled by the firm conviction that the elites just don’t get it.
