Source: UGCThe government is keen on harnessing the economic muscle of its citizens abroad to spur economic growth locally. This comes as the Kenya Diaspora Alliance (KDA) members are set to convene in Nairobi for three days beginning Friday, December 7, where they will deliberate on best approaches to boost diaspora remittances. Since the inception of the annual conventions in 2014 there has been significant growth from USD 1 billion (over KSh 122 billion) to over USD 2.8 billion (KSh 343 billion) in 2019.
