Kenyan footballers have added their influence is raising awareness about the illegal trade in wildlife. They will be joining Afro fusion great, Suzanna Owiyo and talented young rappers from Mathare's Sejorooney Kids on Friday for the World Environment Day (WED) celebrations. Celebrated annually on June 5, this year's WED will mobilize tens of thousands of people around the world to stand up to poaching and the illegal trade in ivory and other wildlife products. Some of Kenya's football greats, including John Baraza and Tusker's captain James Situma, will also be on hand to sign footballs, take selfies and give interviews. The event will be hosted at the UN Complex in Gigiri.
