One of Iran’s most powerful figures has vowed to “stab” America in the heart, following the attacks that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Larijani is a top decision maker in Iran and was a key adviser to Khamenei. He said a temporary leadership structure comprising of the president, the head of the judiciary would soon be in place. Larijani said Iran had assured leaders in the region that it was not after war with them, but would continue to target American bases in Middle Eastern countries. “It must be made clear once and for all that the Americans cannot bully the Iranian nation,” he said.
