Khalid JamilCalcutta: In order to get the same feel of the newly-laid Salt Lake stadium turf, East Bengal trained at one of the practice grounds of the venue. “This pitch will help us understand the nature of the main turf, so we decided to train here,” East Bengal coach Khalid Jamil said after Friday’s training session. East Bengal will take on Aizawl FC in their first I-League match at home on Tuesday. But we have prepared well and the team is ready for I-League,” Khalid said.
