Former President Mwai Kibaki was discharged from Netcare Sunninghill hospital, Johannesburg on Tuesday. This was after going through a successful carotid artery surgery on his neck. "President Kibaki is in jovial and high spirits. Read: Kibaki undergoes succesful artery surgery in South AfricaHe was admitted to the facility on August 21 after falling ill at his Muthaiga home. Before being flown out of the country , Kibaki spent the better part of Sunday at Karen hospital.
