Imagine having to browse through endless piles and racks of children's clothes to find the right size (and price), while keeping an eye on whiny, cranky kids. Seattle-based mompreneur Elise Worthy decided to remedy this with Kids on 45th, a website that sells seasonal boxes of nearly new kids clothing for 70-90% less than retail. "Kids on 45th is one of the oldest and most well-known consignment stores in Seattle," Worthy told me in an interview. A few months into founding her startup, Worthy applied and got accepted into Y Combinator (YC). This is currently active in Seattle but there is a beta program for people to send clothes back nationally.
