Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, on Saturday, expressed worry over the incessant attacks and killings by gunmen in different parts of the state. Within the past two weeks, findings by Sunday PUNCH showed that about 30 people had been killed in different attacks by gunmen, who also destroyed properties. The latest incident was on Thursday when gunmen killed more than six people in Jos South and Riyom local government areas of the state. The governor, therefore, ordered the security agencies to do everything possible to arrest persons disrupting the peace of the state. Our expectation is that these attacks will not only be prevented, but whenever any is recorded, the perpetrators will be swiftly arrested and brought to justice.’’ ,,Copyright PUNCH.
