Even when things are going well for the Sacramento Kings, things aren’t going well for the Sacramento Kings. Joerger is the team’s ninth head coach during their playoff drought but is finally the one who’s made tangible improvement with the league’s 7th youngest roster. The longest tenured player on the Kings' roster is big man Willie Cauley-Stein, who’s been with the team a season longer than Joerger. Earlier this month, former NBA head coach Jeff Van Gundy suggested Joerger's early performance was worthy of Coach of the Year consideration. Even still, Divac and Kings’ owner Vivek Ranadivé should proceed with caution and truly weigh their options before kicking Joerger to the curb.
