PETALING JAYA: DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang has called on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to use Parliament as an avenue to shed more light over the 1Malaysia Development Berhad's (1MDB) controversy. Lim also said Najib should clear the air over a purported letter sent to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director Gina Haspel five days before the 14th General Election. Lim also lamented at Najib's attempts at banning national institutions especially Parliament and the media from probing and debating the issue while also rushing through the Anti-Fake News Act 2018. Lim said this was because the Islamic State only came into existence in the mid-2014 but the RM2.6bil was deposited into Najib's bank account in March 2013. "It is time that Najib make a clean breast of his involvement in the 1MDB scandal in Parliament tomorrow," he said.
