South Korea and Egypt are deepening bilateral relations and cooperation across cultural and educational fields, Oh Sung-ho, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre, said during a celebration of the Korean Lunar New Year. Attendees participated in traditional Korean games and experienced wearing the Hanbok, the traditional Korean dress, to immerse themselves in the festive spirit. The programme concluded with a presentation of traditional Seollal dishes and tastings of Korean New Year cuisine. The “Ahlan Korea” programme is scheduled to continue throughout 2026 in cooperation with the Korean Tourism Organisation. The Korean Cultural Centre indicated that educational and cultural institutions interested in participating in future editions of the series may contact the centre for further details.
