LPTIC Chairman tours Tripoli International Airport – emphasises need to accelerate pace of completion of telecoms work


‎Ali Ben Gharbia, the Chairman of Libya’s state telecoms holding company, LPTIC, conducted a field visit of Tripoli International Airport today, to follow up on the progress of work and learn about the latest developments in infrastructure and services development projects within the airport.‎ He was accompanied by the heads of the boards of directors of telecommunications sector companies, along with a specialized technical delegation‎During the visit, a technical meeting was held that included the competent authorities at the airport, dedicated to following up on the details of the implementation and evaluating the current work stages. It was agreed to form a joint technical team from the telecommunications sector companies to carry out the work of completing the telecommunications system within the airport, with an emphasis on accelerating the pace of completion, in a way that contributes to supporting the airport’s readiness and improving its operational performance.‎‎During the visit, the LPTIC Chairman stressed that these steps come within the framework of the keenness to develop Tripoli International Airport and upgrade the level of technical and operational services, pointing out that strengthening the communications system and infrastructure is a key pillar to support work efficiency and improve the passenger experience, in preparation for the opening and reoperation of the airport.‎
