Your editorial “Big Labor’s Big Shrink” (April 30) makes a strong case that the continuing decline in union density (the portion of the workforce in unions) is caused by the fundamental lack of attractiveness of labor unions and collective bargaining. But what exactly is the point of no return in union density for labor unions—the point at which density has fallen so far and so fast that rebound is out of the question? Most scholars of labor relations put the point of no return at around 10% overall, with 5% for private employees...
