Liberia’s national Police Chief Gregory O. W. Coleman met Cherkaoui Habboub, head of Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), during an official visit aimed at building a formal cooperation framework on counterterrorism, forensics, and digital investigations. The meetings followed earlier exchanges with officials from Morocco’s national police (DGSN) and focused on aligning investigative practices and strengthening institutional ties. Participants said the cooperation could expand Liberia’s technical capacity through access to advanced forensic methods and equipment. The discussions also highlighted Morocco’s growing role in security cooperation across Africa, supported by its investment in investigative technologies and training programs. Officials said the developing partnership builds on shared security interests and institutional expertise, with plans for joint training and long-term coordination mechanisms.
