The Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce has taken part in an event titled “Olive Oil as a Mediterranean Bridge”, organised by the Italian embassy during the seventh Libya Food Expo in Tripoli. Officials and business representatives stressed the importance of strengthening economic ties between Libyan and Italian institutions and expanding partnerships across key sectors. The event focused on developing the olive oil industry, including improving quality standards and supporting supply chains, while also exploring investment opportunities in food industries. It featured panel discussions, presentations and tasting sessions, highlighting olive oil’s economic and cultural significance across the Mediterranean. The chamber said its participation reflects ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation and build stronger links between business communities in both countries.
