Deputy Defence Minister, Major General Abdulsalam al-Zoubi, has met a senior adviser to the US president, Massad Boulos, to discuss ways to strengthen military cooperation and coordination between Libya and the United States. The talks focused on support for training and capacity-building programmes, as well as enhanced coordination with the US Africa Command (Africom), aimed at promoting stability and supporting the development of Libya’s military institutions within a state framework. The meeting took place during Boulos’s visit to Tripoli to attend events linked to the Libya Energy and Economy Summit.
