Liow urges DAP's Ooi to apologise for insensitive remarks

KUALA LUMPUR: DAP's Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi should apologise to the family of late Datuk Dr Haron Din for the insensitive remarks over the passing of the Pas spiritual leader, said MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai today. "I think the person concerned should apologise to the family as it was impolite. Describing Haron as one of the country's prominent figures, Liow said it was disappointing that certain parties were insensitive. Ooi was said to have posted on his Twitter account - "Adios (farewell in Spanish) Haron Din, let there be peace." Yesterday, Ooi said he had no part in the controversial tweet and denied trying to belittle Haron.
