Consent is required to take down the existing stone parapet walls and coping stones adjacent to a collapsed section of Walburn Bridge, Walburn Head, Stainton, between Richmond and Leyburn. Work will then be undertaken to rebuild the stone parapet wall and relay new and existing coping stones. Existing walling stones and coping stones have already been recovered from below the bridge and in Black Beck. Work will include the removal of existing loose stone parapet wall and any loose existing coping stones adjacent to the collapse. Existing walling stones and coping stones to be reused where possible.
