Couple of facts:1) Mr. Trump’s staff, according to sources within his campaign, kept him away from the press conferences for 7 months, in part because he was damaging himself. 2) Despite his professed love for “freedom of the press,” Trump suggested changing the country’s libel laws. 3) He is more friendly to the press than he himself professes – and often calls reporters personally, with far greater frequency than any other modern candidate or president.
