The 31-year-old has registered 14 goals and eight assists across 20 Premier League games for Liverpool so far this season with Klopp’s side top of the table. But Klopp has confirmed that Salah is set to miss Wednesday’s home clash against Chelsea as well as the trip to Arsenal on Sunday in what is a blow for Liverpool. His decision to fly back to Anfield for treatment was criticised – with Pharaohs legend Ahmed Hassen accusing Salah of ‘plotting his departure’ from AFCON. That saw Klopp leap to Salah’s defence, with the Liverpool boss insisting his player is ‘the most loyal Egyptian’ he has ever met.
