Reports suggest that UK Athletics (UKA) is in danger of going bust this year. UKA has been making efforts to raise funds, with the London Marathon in talks to help save the organisation. The London Marathon already funds training camps for UK athletes in several countries, as well as various other projects. Brasher has also engaged in clear-the-air talks with Eilish McColgan, a Scottish athlete who withdrew from the London Marathon through injury. Brasher assured athletes that integrity is of utmost importance at the London Marathon, and expressed his hope that McColgan will participate in the 2024, 2025, or 2026 marathon.
