MACC interviews six over missing radar equipment case - Nation

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has taken the statements of six individuals to aid investigations into the case of a container believed to be carrying high-tech military radar equipment that was initially thought to have gone missing from the Tanjung Pelepas Port in Johor. "The statements also include those from the port's auxiliary police department and the customs officer on duty," he said. The MACC is also looking through a few documents obtained from port authorities in relation to the incident. It was previously reported that the container from Australia had gone missing after being detained by Customs for not having the proper permit under the Strategic Trade Act 2010. Customs director-general Datuk T. Subromaniam then said in a brief statement last Thursday that the container was never missing but had actually safely reached its destination in Rotterdam.
