Calvin Abueva has provided the missing piece in the winning puzzle of the Magnolia Hotshots this season. The Hotshots are close to fulfilling their third finals entry in the league's most prestigious tournament under head coach Chito Victolero. One more win and Magnolia will march their way back to the championship round, which will be the 17th appearance in the All-Filipino finals in franchise history. Twice, the Hotshots made it to the finals of the Philippine Cup — 2018 and 2019 — and lost but times to the powerhouse San Miguel Beermen. This could be the year the Hotshots are waiting for and realistically, the team is within striking distance of achieving it.
