The main highway connecting Victoria with the rest of Vancouver Island was closed for hours Monday morning because of a rock slide. According to DriveBC, the road was reopened just before 11:30 a.m. PT. Both lanes of the Malahat Highway had been closed at Tunnel Hill, south of Bamberton, because of the slide.
