KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry is mulling making it compulsory for preschoolers to be vaccinated as a condition for enrolment. Dr Izani had asked whether the government would take a stronger stand in making vaccination compulsory by taking legal action on those who refuse vaccination. "We are looking into Australia's practice where only vaccinated preschoolers can be enrolled. The decision on this, Dr Subramaniam said, would be parallel with public acceptance on the need to vaccinate. To this, Dr Subramaniam said scientific evidence proved that the benefits from vaccination outweighed its adverse effects more than hundreds of times over.
