A 61-year-old man was arrested for allegedly throwing his wife into a river after an argument over dinner arrangements on Aug. 16. Douglas Harold Green and his wife were at a resort in Utah, USA, when they got into a quarrel, as per the Deseret News the day after. ADVERTISEMENTWhen his wife “refused to do what he asked,” Green became angry and threatened to drown her in the nearby river. According to a police affidavit, Green then dragged his wife to the riverside and “forced her in.”Following the incident, bystanders tried to approach and help Green’s wife. Officers arrested Green on Aug. 17 and booked him into the Wasatch County Jail.
