The accused has confessed to committing the murder, but the motive is not clear yetPolice arrested a man in Manikganj sadar upazila on Monday for killing his elderly father. Speaking to reporters on Monday, Manikganj sadar police station OC Rakibuzzaman said Anwar Hossain, 80, lived in his house with his only son Tanzim Hasan, 28, in Gultia village under the sadar upazila. Not seeing Tanzim in the house, she notified other neighbours, the OC said. OC Rakibuzzaman said Tanzim confessed to committing patricide during primary interrogation. The dead body was sent to the 250-bed Manikganj General Hospital for an autopsy.
