An attempted burglary in the early hours of Wednesday saw a man breaking into a detached home on 83 Perkins Road at Jardine’s Lookout, drank two cans of Coke before he got scared and fled. The owner claimed that a foreign domestic worker working at the household had seen movements in the kitchen at around 4 am, suspecting that someone had broken into their home. Initial investigation found that the burglar had climbed over a fence and pried open a window to sneak into the house. Sources believed that the burglar was discovered by the worker while he was drinking coke inside the kitchen, and got scared after the worker yelled to alert others. Police said no valuables were stolen except the two cans of coke drank by the suspected burglar.
