Some of the best minds from around the globe will gather for a Massey University conference to share learnings on an agricultural disease which harms animals and humans. They will also tackle why leptospirosis gets through protective equipment in the meat industry at the International Leptospirosis Society Conference at the Palmerston North Convention Centre from November 27 to December 1. For the first time, the society will be offering post conference workshops in leptospirosis microbiology, epidemiology and genomics. Leptospirosis is New Zealand's most common occupationally-acquired zoonotic disease affecting the health of people and animals.
