Manchester City’s determination to sign Jonny Evans will be tested after being informed they will have to pay at least £30 million to tempt West Bromwich Albion into selling the defender. West Brom manager Tony Pulis admitted Evans could leave if the price is right, but City will have to improve hugely on their initial £18 million bid which was rejected this week. Evans, 29, has two years left on his contract and Pep Guardiola believes the experienced centre back would be a clever addition to his squad as he looks to fight for silverware on all fronts.
