Sky News have claimed that the Qatari has 'withdrawn from the process' to buy the club, meaning there is now an increasing chance that the Glazers will remain in power. Along with British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the Qatari banker was one of the leading candidates to take over the club from the American family. He first registered his interest in buying United back in February, less than three months after the Glazers announced the club may be sold.
