United left it until the final day of the transfer window in the hope of signing Sancho but they moved on to Atalanta winger Amad Diallo once it became clear that Dortmund would not sell. ‘We already had a gentleman’s agreement with Jadon [Sancho] last year that he can switch under certain conditions,’ said Zorc. Solskjaer is keen to sign Sancho, as well as a central defender. Should he opt to sign a new deal, Solskjaer could focus his efforts on signing Sancho and a central defender.
