Confectionery giant Mars Wrigley said the new Mars Protein will contain 17.5g of sugar, 40 per cent less than the current bars that help you “work, rest and play”. The Snickers Protein will contain 14.1g of sugar, which is 30 per cent less than the original. Each of the new kinds will also contain 10g of protein, around half that of both existing ones. Trade magazine The Grocer reported that the two new products will be followed later in 2019 by a new low-calorie range of “single-serve” bars. The newly-merged firm said the range will include Mars, Snickers, Twix, Milky Way Crispy Rolls and Ripples.
