The campaign for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dave McCormick said Monday he will join GOP presidential nominee, former President Donald Trump, at a rally in Harrisburg on Wednesday. It will be Trump’s first trip back to Pennsylvania since he was injured in a July 13 assassination attempt in Butler, at a rally where McCormick was also present. McCormick was the final speaker at the rally before Trump took the stage. Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris testified before the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security the same day that Cheatle resigned. The same poll found Trump and likely Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, were tied in Pennsylvania, a key swing state with 19 electoral votes.
