A BD spokesperson said about 8,075 Genesis containers are being recalled, including 6,777 in the United States. BD said that the pulled Genesis containers were distributed between April 2011 and August 2022. Not all Genesis containers are part of the recall. The spokesperson said BD began reviewing the quality of Genesis containers before inviting Dr. Norschim to join the review. The spokesperson said the company shared test results with the Food and Drug Administration prior to implementing the recall.
