General News of Monday, 26 January 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comPrivate legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has raised fresh concerns over the sale of Metro Mass buses, describing the revelations as another example of weak accountability and growing impunity in the management of state assets. To him, the figures simply do not add up and for which reason he is demanding a closer look. He insisted that investigators must establish what condition the buses were actually in at the time of sale and what justified such prices. “This is not about witch-hunting,” he said, explaining that punishing wrongdoing, where proven, would help deter future abuse of public resources. Martin Kpebu also lamented what he said is a culture of political protection across administrations, where accountability is often sacrificed for convenience.
