Mexico and Morocco strengthen their commercial relationship and their technical and scientific cooperation

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader) of Mexico, Victor Villalobos, and the Moroccan ambassador to Mexico, Abdelfattah Lebbar, held an online meeting in which they agreed to strengthen commercial relationships and technical and scientific cooperation between both countries to expand and improve their agri-food offer. The Secretary of Agriculture stressed that the priority of the Government of Mexico is to diversify agri-food markets so that national producers, especially small ones, participate in new commercial niches. They also stressed that Morocco represented a great opportunity to increase the presence of Mexican food in North Africa. The Moroccan ambassador said that trade between both countries was small regarding their existing capacities. He also said that, unlike most countries in the world, both nations had a privileged geographical position that enhanced their food production.
