By Anthony HarrupMEXICO CITY--Mexico's industrial production had a positive start to the fourth quarter, posting an eighth consecutive month of growth. Industrial production rose 0.6% from September in seasonally adjusted terms in an eighth consecutive monthly rise, the National Statistics Institute said Tuesday. Mining was up 0.6% as an increase in mining services, which include drilling wells, offset slightly lower oil and gas production and minerals extraction. Manufacturing output fell 0.4% and utilities--water, gas and electricity--rose 0.1%. Industrial production was up 5.5% unadjusted from October of 2022, bringing growth for the first 10 months of the year to 3.9%.
