Slough Town 2, Farnborough 1Slough Town produced a rousing performance in front of the Arbour Park faithful as they bounced back from Tuesday’s FA Cup exit at the hands of Grimsby Town to knock league rivals Farnborough out of the FA Trophy. From the off they were energetic and lively, causing Farnborough’s defence problems on the flanks through David Ogbonna and Goddard. Then, in the 67th minute, Goddard won the game with a moment of magic from a free kick. First, in the 84th minute, Lincoln kept out Kuhl’s deflected shot with his feet, having been initially wrong-footed. Two cautionable offences from Jordan Norville-Williams, both on Ogbonna in the second half, saw the Farnborough left back dismissed with a couple of minutes of the 90 to play.
