The Department of Housing has said that the housing minister will not meet Airbnb until officials have drawn up guidelines to stop landlords turning residential properties into commercial short-term lets. On Thursday Simon Coveney said that he would write to local authorities to end confusion over the procedure for dealing with complaints from residents about Airbnb.
