The Municipality of Misrata signed a twinning agreement on Sunday with the Zenica Municipal Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The signing ceremony was attended by the Mayor and members of Misrata Municipal Council, alongside an official delegation representing Zenica, as well as the Chairman of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company and a number of company directors. In a statement posted on its Facebook page, Misrata Municipality said the agreement aims to strengthen mutual cooperation and exchange expertise between municipalities. It seeks to develop collaboration across several areas of shared interest, particularly in economic, service, and cultural sectors, in addition to sharing experiences in local governance. The two parties also underscored the need to activate the agreement’s provisions and establish practical mechanisms for its implementation, in order to achieve its intended objectives and enhance partnership between the two cities, according to Misrata Municipality.
