Money Saving Expert explains NHS Test and Trace sick pay rules

If you've been told to quarantine under the Government's guidance, you will qualify for statutory sick pay, equivalent to £95.85 a week. MoneySavingExpert, the website founded by Martin Lewis, explains that if NHS Test and Trace tell you to self-isolate, you will be covered under usual sick pay rules. (Image: Department of Health & Social Care/PA)This means an employee earning an average of £120 a week will get statutory sick pay (SSP) of £95.85 a week, though if your work normally offers more generous sick pay, you may be able to get that. Official tracers will never ask for payment of any kind or bank details. The scammers then ask for the person's address and bank details to pay for the testing kit.
