Nicole Earp said her boy Mason would often turn "floppy and blue" from the mysterious spinal injury that would require the help of paramedics, who performed CPR on him. "It was petrifying," Miss Earp told DerbyshireLive. Doctors found he had a spinal injury caused by the unusual way his spine had developed. He had an operation to decompress his spine soon afterwards, but it left him paralysed from the neck down.
