The International Football Association Board [IFAB] agreed an amendment to the current controversial handball law last month and it will be brought in next season. The tweak makes it clear that an accidental handball will only be punished if it is deemed to be “immediately” before the goal. (Image: PA)But the IFAB tweak now actually opens the door for more controversy because it allows interpretation as to when a handball is deemed “immediate” or not. Incredibly, Mirror Sport can reveal 17 goals have been ruled out for handball in the Premier League this season since the law change.
