The Department of Justice (DOJ) has found probable cause to indict former army reservist Vhon Martin Tanto for the death of cyclist Mark Vincent Garalde. Tanto shot Garalde during a traffic altercation in Quiapo, Manila on July 25, 2016. The department said charges of serious physical injuries will also be fled against Tanto for the injuries sustained by Rosell Bondoc who was hit by a stray bullet. The resolution ordering the filing of criminal charges against Tanto was signed by Assistant State Prosecutors Jeannette Dacpano and Robert Ong, Jr. It was approved by Senior Deputy State Prosecutor Theodore Villanueva and Prosecutor General Claro Arellano.
